All Christmas'd Out

I don’t know about you but I’m all Christmas’d out. I am so anxious to move on to other projects yet here I am still doing Christmas cards. Why?? Well Rebecca one of our Fiskateer Leads posted a challenge on the Fiskateer Message Board called “A New Year’s Challenge”. Rebecca’s challenge is “I'm resolving to have my Christmas 2009 cards done early. Then it hit me - why not do them NOW while I'm still in a Christmas-y mood, and I still have all of my Christmas crafting supplies out? So here's the challenge:

Make ten cards for the '09 holiday season (Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukah, your choice!), and post a pic of all ten in your gallery.”

So now you know why I am still making Christmas Cards in January. I got a couple of stamp sets before Christmas that I didn’t get a chance to play with and decided to use them.

This first card is using a stamp that I’ve had for a long time. I love this dog stamp and how he can be used for any occasion by just dressing him up a bit. This time I added a Season’s Greetings place card for him to hold and a Santa hat. I colored him with my Prisma color pencils and Gamsol then added him to a Cuttlebug Snowflake background.

I picked up this adorable dog stamp at Scrappingreatdeals before Christmas and haven’t had much of a chance to play with it. I used my dog crimper (dog & paw print pattern) for the background on the one card and a Cuttlebug background on the other. Both images were colored with Copics (I’m still learning), I added stickles as well.

I picked up this stamp set by Inkadinkado at Scrappin Great Deals when I went to Sheila's Grand Opening on her new retail store. I love this stamp set and it is so elegant. I used the Angel on the first card and embossed it with gold detail embossing powder.

The Reindeer card was stamped in SU White Craft ink and embossed in white on navy cardstock. I love how it turned out.

The last two cards that I did for the challenge are this cute little polar bear stamp that I picked up at Stamp Art in London. I stamped it twice in navy on white cardstock. I cut out the male polar bear and then popped him up with dimensionals. I added glitter with my Sakura Stardust pen. I love the finished look.

Now I can put away all the Christmas stamps and goodies for another year. I'm definately Christmas'd out but at least I have a good start on my Christmas cards for 2009. Thanks for looking.

Great idea to get ready for Cmas 2009, a year ahead! But by then, you will have new Cmas stamps that you want to make cards with for 2009!
