Chicken Pox Pick Me Up

My poor little Great Niece Jaden has Chicken Pox. When I heard this I knew that I had to create a card to cheer her up. She's only 3 years old and doesn't quit get the whole "spots" thing.

I used the Stampin Up "Pretty Princess" set which is retired. I didn't really have a girl stamp that I could add spots too and thought that this one would work out ok. I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol and used papers from a Stampin Up DSP pad. I also used the Martha Stewart "Doily Lace" border punch and added some stickles for some "bling". I really like how it turned out.

Right now Jaden is the only one in the family with chicken pox. So far her older brother & younger brother haven't come down with them. Chances are they will as that seems to be the way it is with Chicken Pox. (I might have to make a couple of boy Chicken Pox cards lol).

The inside of the card has a verse that I made up too. (cheesy I know) lol

Roses are red
Violets have dots
Poor little Jaden
Is covered in spots.

I'm going to send this off in today's mail for her. Hopefully this will cheer her up a bit. I know it'll bring a smile to her parents faces and will be a little keepsake to remember her having Chicken Pox.

Have a great day & thanks for looking!

Hey aunt Diane, love the cute little chicken pox card. Now you can make one for Jeremy and Natasha too incase you haven't heard that they both have it! Not too good since Tasha is pregnant and older getting them, she has them bad too poor thing. Anyways now they are just hoping Andrew will hurry up and get it over with. xo
