Using My Free Inkadinkado Stamps

I decided to pull out my free Inkadinkado stamps & create some cards. I love the butterfly image and all the swirls. I stamped it twice in purple. I added glitter to the swirls and then cut out the one butterfly. I then popped it up with dimensionals on the Cuttlebug Polkadot embossing folder. I love how it turned out. Thanks for looking & have a great day!!

Finally Some Cards!

Well I’ve finally got some cards to show. I recently picked up the Stampendous Pansy stamp. I love this image, it’s so pretty. The first card was colored with my Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol. For this next card I colored it with my Copic Markers and cut out 2 extra pansies & popped them up on dimensionals. Thanks for looking & have a great day!!

They’re Here!

They’re Here! Kind of reminds me of the little girl in the movie Poltergeist where she’s sitting in front the television and all of a sudden she say’s “They’re Here….!”

Yesterday I went uptown to the Post Office and was thrilled to see my package was there. I finally got the last two Fiskars Limited Edition Summer Squeeze Punches – “All a Flutter” and “Get Crackin”. I love this spring line of squeeze punches and am thrilled to have the complete set.Now I just have to get “Get Crackin” and complete some projects using them. lol

Have a great day!!

Another Road Trip & Shopping Spree!

My BF Bonnie & I went on another road trip last Friday (April 24th). We went to Kilworth to Scrappingreatdeals. I had said to Bonnie before we went into the store that I didn’t plan on spending much money there as I really didn’t need anything. I had decided that I was going to place an order with another online store for Shimmerz on Monday (today) since Sheila hadn't yet got it in. Wouldn’t you know it, the minute we walked through the door I spotted the Shimmerz that Sheila had just gotten in. Of course both Bonnie & I were grabbing them off the shelf & adding them to our baskets. Lol Besides the Shimmerz, I also bought some “Smooch” and Doodlebug “Crushed Velvet” Flocking to try. I also got some Cardstock that was on sale and a few other goodies. Of course I ended up spending more than I planned on. lolAfter leaving Sheila’s, we headed over to Michael’s. This time I stocked up on ribbon & these adorable little chipboard mini books. Now how cute is that car book?? I have 3 great nephews & 2 more on the way this month so I thought that these car albums would be perfect for the boys. I love the butterfly books too which will be perfect for my 3 great nieces.Next we stopped for a quick lunch and then back to shopping. After lunch we went to Home Sense to have a look around. I love that store & they have so many nice things in there. I ended up buying a 2 tier wire basket that I plan on using in my studio, a wood organizer and a bunch of scrapbook paper pads. I got the most beautiful My Mind’s Eye Wild Asparagus paper pad that is just filled with gorgeous papers. There are 180 sheets in it, 3 of each design. I also got a really pretty Paper Crush scrap pack that comes with 8 solid paper, 12 pattern paper, 4 glitter paper, 3 dividers and 438 punch outs. It was a great deal for $7.99.Last on the list was a trip to Cosco. I ended up buying a Scrapbook Paper Organizer that has 15 drawers that are perfect for storing 12x12 papers. Since it’s on castors, it’s easy to wheel around. I have all my “coloring” supplies stored in it. It’s perfect for storing all my coloring supplies in it. Everything has it’s own drawer, it’s all neatly labeled & all the tools that go with the coloring supplies are stored there too. It makes finding my coloring supplies so much easier. I love it! I also ended up buying a set of 5 Fiskars squeeze punches & an Ott Light too.Talk about spoiling myself big time! But then since I don’t have anyone else who spoils me I have to make up for it by doubling up on the spoiling. Lol

Have a great day & thanks for looking!

Don’t You Just Love Free Stamps

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled across a link on SCS regarding an offer by Inkadinkado. For every 1 card you sent to them using an Inkadinkado Stamp, they’d send you a free stamp. The cards had to be postmarked by April 24th. One Card = 1 Free Stamp; Two Cards = 2 Free Stamps and Three Cards = 3 Free Stamps. Of course I sent them off 3 cards and a week later I got an email saying that they got my cards & were mailing out the stamps. Last week the stamps arrived in my mailbox. I am thrilled with the stamps that they sent me. All the cards that they received during this free stamp promotion will be posted in their gallery in the upcoming weeks/months.

Here are the 3 free stamps that I received.Have a great day!

Kind of a Wasted Week

I didn’t get much of anything accomplished this week other than stamping some of my new Magnolia & High Hopes images & coloring them with my Copics. I started off the week with a visit to my doctor & an increase to my meds for my Fibromyalgia and an antihistamine for my sinus’s. Boy did they throw me for a loop. I couldn’t stay awake on Tuesday and even though I haven’t taken it since then, I am still struggling with grogginess in the morning and throughout the day. I’m hoping that this will be a better week & I can stay awake long enough to get some things accomplished.

Fun at Scrapfest - Long Post with Lots of Pics

We left bright & early last Saturday morning (April 18th) to head off to Scrapfest in Kitchener. We arrived shortly after the 9 a.m. opening. It was funny when we got there the parking lot was barely half full. (Bonnie had been to last year’s Scrapfest and said that when she arrived last year the parking lot was full.) I thought that maybe the economy might have had something to do with the nearly empty parking lot...mind you that thought didn't last long.

Shortly after we got inside, the place was swarming with people. The lineups in some booths were horrendous. There were several booths that I didn’t even go into as there were so many people in them. Fortunately I had made a list of which booths I wanted to find & the products that I was looking for before I left home.

I kind of got a little overwhelmed and disoriented when I first got in there. So many goodies & eye candy that I didn’t know where to go first. I had stopped at one booth and found a great deal on the Cuttlebug Embossing folders and bought several that I didn’t have as well as a Sizzix Embossing Folder. After that stop I decided to check the “map” that they gave us & try to find the booths on my list.

First on my list, I visited the Scrapnook a store from Fonthill. http://www.thescrappingnook.ca/retail.htm. I knew from browsing their online store that they had the new Fiskars Border Punches that I was interested in. I recently purchased the Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch & the Effervescence Border punch from Sheila at ScrappinGreatDeal’s & they arrived last week. So now I was on the hunt for the Upper Crest Border punch which, I was thrilled to find at the Scrapnook. I decided against getting the Scallop Sentiment as I already have the Stampin Up Scallop border punch which looks very similiar. I'm not sure if the scallops are the same size though. I also decided against getting the Boundary Waters Border punch as I wasn’t sure that I’d use it. (But then, I can always change my mind now that I know where to find them. lol)I stopped by Angela’s booth (http://www.creativepapercrafts.com/), she has a store in Dundas, Ontario that I’ve been to several times. I wanted to find some “Flower Soft” that I knew she carried. I bought 4 jars of it from her as well as did a “make & take” on it. The girl also showed me how to use the Translucent Embossing Paste with the brass templates again. I bought some of it awhile back and have yet used it.The Town Scrapper from Sarnia was next on my list. I wanted to see if she had any Magnolia stamps and was thrilled to find that she did. Of course I went crazy on them. I bought several of the Magnolia stamps and a couple of the High Hopes stamps as well. She had a special on “if you bought a stamp at regular price, you could buy one of this one shelf for half price”. There were only a couple of stamps that I was interested in on the half price rack and I was thrilled to find two on my “wish/want list” there. I got the “High Hope’s Love Bandit” stamp (wood mounted) and the “Whipper Snapper – Fancy Fifi” stamp (also wood mounted). Both of these stamps are just too cute & I was thrilled to find them.I bought several Magnolia stamps to feed my new addiction. I got 2 from the 2009 Love Collection - Tilda Wearing Hat #329 & Magnolia Tilda with Hat Sitting #330. I did get the bale of straw for half price too! Then I got #277 Queen Tilda with a Frog. I also got the Blessings (#318 Tilda with candle), "Tilda w/ Hood" - winter 2008 collection and “Tilda with Leaf” from the fall collection.I paid regular price for the High Hopes "Danni Dress Up" and the "Willard Weather Ant" stamps and got the High Hopes "Love Bandit" & the Whippersnapper "Fancy Fifi" stamp for half price.

I got a great deal on 12x12 black chipboard that I can use to create mini albums with. I also bought myself a set of Watercolor Pencils. I have a set and they were ok when I was starting out but now I wanted something that was a little better quality. I must admit that I was thrilled with all my purchases as well as a few other items that I didn’t mention. After leaving the Scrapfest we headed over to Michael’s. Michael’s had a 50% off sale on some of their storage items. I bought a Making Memories Wood Desktop Organizer as well as a Wood Table organizer that matches. I don’t have a picture of the table but will take one as soon as I can. The table has paper storage on the bottom, 2 drawers & a 3rd drawer that has a slot for ribbon. The table folds down when not in use and it’s on wheels too!Michael's also had the cutest Cupcake stamps which I couldn't pass up. These must have went pretty fast as there were hardly any left. They also had a line of adorable Fairy stamps that were calling my name too! So of course I had to grab what I could of these too. Then to finish it off, I grabbed a couple of wood saying stamps that I thought were to cute to pass up.Hopefully I haven't enabled you too much. lol Have a great day!

Finally.....They're Here!!

I can't believe that they are finally here! I went uptown yesterday to get my mail & there they were....just waiting to come home with me. What you ask?? My new Fiskars Limited Edition Summer Squeeze Punches.

I fell in love with the Summer line of Limited Edition Squeeze Punches. I recently purchased the Chicky Baby & Undercover (umbrella) Squeeze Punches from a vendor on eBay. They had the best price going & it was a "Buy it Now" auction. I was so excited when they arrived yesterday. I have also ordered the "All-a-Flutter" (butterfly) and "Get Crackin" (egg) punches from an online vendor. Once I receive them, I'll post where I got them from as it's a new vendor that I've never bought from before. These punches are so hard to find and since they are limited editions, when they are gone....they're gone! So far I have 2 of the Halloween line and one of the Christmas punches. I'm slowly completing my collection.

I can't wait to create with these fun punches!

Happy Shopping & have a great day!

Are You Going to Scrapfest?

My BF Bonnie & I are heading out this morning to go to Scrapfest in Kitchener, Ontario. It's a huge event with retailers coming from all over Ontario. There are also classes held at this event.

I have my shopping list ready! I can't wait to see all the new goodies & shop til I drop. lol

Guess I'd better get ready to head out. I've got to leave here shortly to meet Bonnie at her house. Then a quick stop at "Timmie's" and we're off.

Happy Shopping! Have a great day!

Fiskars Border Punches In Canada

Wow....I've been a bad blogger! I can't believe where the time has gone. The last post I made was on April 1st and here it's already the middle of the month & I've done nothing.

I have no new creations to post. Earlier this month, I spent a few days working on Easter Cards for my mother. She wanted 16 cards and by the time I was finished making her cards, I didn't even make any for myself. lol

I've been practicing coloring images with my Copic Markers and have lots of images ready to turn into cards. I've also been working on organizing my stamp inventory and hope to be able to post something on that soon.

I also finally found the Fiskars Border Punches here in Ontario. I just received the new Apron Lace & Effervescence Border punches this week. I got mine from Scrappin Great Deals who now has these two punches in stock.
I also found another Ontario vendor who carries all 5 (Boundry Waters, Apron Lace, Effervescence, Upper Crest & Scalloped Sentiment) of the new Fiskars Border Punches. Let me know if your looking for these & I can send you their link. I've never shopped with them but I hope to see them at Scrapfest today in Kitchener.

I hope that this helps resolve some of your Fiskars shopping dilema's. I know how hard it is to find Fiskars products here in Ontario.

Happy Shopping! Have a great day!

Pretty as a Princess Card

I just love this Princess image by Inky Antics. It is called “Princess Cynthia”. I bought the stamp from Addicted to Rubber Stamps when they had their recent 25% off sale.

The pattern paper is from K & Company and is from the “Berry Sweet” line. I bought the 8 ½” x 8 ½” pad also from ATRS. I really love this paper & it has the cutest “Sock Monkey” paper in it too! I will definitely try it with my SU Sock Monkey stamp set.

The image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol. It is such a fun image to color. I also added Stickles for some bling. I’ve left the inside blank. This will go into my “kids” card section and eventually one of my adorable great nieces will receive it for some special occasion. Thanks for looking & have a great day!

Kelly Jo’s Button Challenge - Easy Travel Sewing Kit

Yesterday morning during my usual morning blurfing, I came across a cute template to make this adorable Travel Sewing Kit on SCS. (Thanks Julie HRR) I thought that this fit in perfect with Kelly Jo’s (one of the Lead Fiskateers) Button Challenge. For this challenge we were to create a layout, 2 cards or an altered item with buttons on it.I decided to give it a try, so I downloaded the template and printed it off. Since the template printed to actual size there was no fussing around. It measures approx 2 7/8” long x almost 3 ¼” wide. I used vellum cardstock for the inside envelope as it is a bit heavier and sturdier than the regular vellum. Unfortunately, I didn't have any vellum adhesive so you can see where I adhere the flaps to create the envelope.

I also used Stampin Up Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink cardstock on the outside of the kit. The flower image is from Stampin Up “Time Well Spent” Level 3 Hostess set (retired). I stamped it in Regal Rose & cut it out. I also popped one of the flowers up on dimensionals. I then added a button to the center of each flower using Glossy Accents to adhere them. The verse “Sew Nice” was hand written and punched out with the SU small oval punch and mounted on Pretty in Pink cardstock that was punched out with the SU large oval punch.I’m not sure how durable this would be if it were stored in my purse. lol But it definitely is a fun little project.

Enjoy your day & thanks for looking!
